Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin (born Winnipeg, born in Wellington,) is a Canadian actor from Canada. She was born in Winnipeg and was raised in Wellington Paquin was able to make her acting debut as Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at age 11 which makes her the second youngest winner of the award in Oscar history. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin was born on July 24 the 24th of July, 1982 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster for Best Supporting Actress for portraying the bright and curious child of Holly Hunter's lead part in The Piano. She was cast as Flora McGrath the daughter of an mute Scottish pianist, who in the middle of 19th century, moves into New Zealand for an arranged marriage when she responded to an audition open to all at the age of nine. She was old, and had no previous experience as an actor. The actress moved from New Zealand to United States as a teen. Paquin played a minor role as the title character when she was a child in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (1996) as well as she was a leading character in the film Fly Away Home (1996). Paquin appeared as Frankie Addams in a 1997 television movie adaptation of Carson McCullers's novel The Member of the Wedding as well as a small role as Queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (1997). She played teens as teens in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (1998), A Walk on the Moon (1998) as well as Almost Famous (2000). She also portrayed the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa.
