Amy Smart has been a model, actress as well as a former American. Born in California USA, Amy Smart began her modelling career there. Her acting career started in 1996 when she starred in the TV film Her Costly Affair. Her struggle to land an appearance on Starship Troopers, a film which featured only minor characters, was very intense. It was difficult for her to make the transition between modeling and acting because models were not believed to be actors and tended to be assigned smaller roles that were insignificant. Amy persevered. She made her way into bigger roles, beginning with The 70s series and Varsity Blues film. Amy later stepped into lead parts in 2005's romance film Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy was finally recognized for the role she'd been seeking since the age of 10. She went on doing some important films, including the Crank series starring Jason Statham and the series Shameless in which she was the well-loved character of recurring.
